The Trumpet's Statement of Faith
The doctrinal beliefs that guide the programming and mission of 1280 The Trumpet — KXEG
We Believe
The Statement of Faith of 1280 The Trumpet — KXEG reflects the core biblical convictions that shape every program, every message, and every ministry partnership on this station. These beliefs are rooted in the historic Christian faith and the authority of Scripture.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct.
The Godhead
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and one in essence, yet distinct in person and function.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a godly life. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and regenerates, seals, and empowers all who place their faith in Christ.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. All who repent of their sins and trust in Christ as Savior and Lord are born again, justified, and granted eternal life — not by works, but by the finished work of Christ on the cross.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, united by the Holy Spirit. The Church exists to worship God, edify the saints, and proclaim the gospel to the world.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the blessed hope — the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the establishment of Christ's eternal kingdom.
